SOME EXPERIMENTAL OBSERVATIONS OF THE EFFECT OF A HIGH-FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD IN VIVO AND IN VITRO.

Abstract

The results of the investigation show that the effects of lethal doses of centimeter radiation on live organisms was manifested in several intervals: (a) the first attempt to escape, (b) paralysis of the rear extremities, (c) spasms, (d) death. The biological effect of centimeter waves in acute application is to a certain extent reversible. The breakdown of the organism occurs only at a certain dose. With repeated irradiation, the biological effectiveness increases. The biological effectiveness depends on the shape of the signal. Pulsed operation is more efficient than CW operation. The degree of biological effectiveness depends, therefore, primarily on the instantaneous amplitude and secondarily on the mean field flux density. The biological effect of a high-frequency field, with the exception of extremely strong fields, is not based on the destruction of molecules. The mechanism underlying this effect is complex.
