Abstract

This volume presents results of a study to identify, analyze, and evaluate information systems technology applicable to future tactical Navy Command and Control Systems. Included is a discussion of electronic data processing systems, memories, input/output devices, displays, computer programming, components and packaging, artificial intelligence, and self-diagnostic systems. These technical areas are analyzed on the basis of current technology and anticipated developments versus requirements of 1970 era Naval tactical system. (Author)
