METAL CUTTING STANDARDS - TURNING AND BORING.
Abstract
This report provides metal cutting standards data for turning and boring operations covering a wide range of feeds, speeds, and depths of cut based on an eight-hour tool life. Information is included on surface finish and power requirements to aid in the selection of data from these tables. Although these standards were set up primarily for use on numerically controlled equipment, they will work just as well on conventional machine tools. (Author)
