TEMPER VOLUME V. OPERATIONS MANUAL.

Abstract

This volume is one of seven which describe different aspects of the TEMPER model. TEMPER, an acronym for Technological, Economic, Military and Political Evaluation Routine, is a model for simulating global Cold War conflict and is programmed to be run on a digital computer. The goal of the computer simulation is to permit quantitative analysis of a wide range of international conflict situations. It provides insight into the complex interaction between political, economic, cultural, and military factors for up to 39 nation-groups formed from a 117 nation data base. The program is written in FORTRAN for a CDC 1604B computer. This volume is a computer operator's reference for setting up, debugging, and running a game. It provides the computer operator with sufficient information on the TEMPER Handling System and the TEMPER Data Base Management System to fully utilize all their features. (Author)
