Abstract

Included in this report is a revised account of the work on the spike phenomenon in transmit-receive switches. The analysis leads to the correct form of the spike-energy dependence on pressure and gap width. But its magnitude disagrees with experiment unless certain assumptions are made about the condition of resonance of the TR tube. (Author)
