Plant colloids for Evaluation as Plasma Extenders and for Complexing with Protein Sparing Substances.
Abstract
This report covers work during December on the preparation and characterization of pectate esters for use as plasma extenders. In rounding out the studies on 2-hydroxypropyl pectate, emphasis was placed to establish the factors leading to finished material of reproducible physical and chemical properties. Consideration was also given the synthesis of other pectate esters, glycerol pectate being the next to be approached. (Author)
