EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF A CIRCULAR COMPLIANT-SURFACE THRUST BEARING USING A LIQUID LUBRICANT.

Abstract

This report contains the data taken from the experimental investigations of a 4 in circular, compliant-surface thrust bearing. Pressure distribution, load carrying capacity, and flow are given for various combinations of loading conditions and compliant material characteristics. Such correlation, expressed in terms of design parameters, will be the subject of another report. (Author)
