DISPLAY-EQUIPMENT STATE-OF-THE-ART: MANUFACTURERS INDEX AND CHARACTERISTICS COMPARISON CHARTS.

Abstract

This report covers the display state-of-the-art review as part of a study of present display capabilities and present and future display needs related to strategic naval command-and-control systems. The recommendations resulting from the program offer a feasible and practical program for the immediate improvement of display capability. These recommendations are attainable with the present display state-of-the-art withing the next one to three years at relatively low cost in terms of money and manpower. Furthermore, they will provide a firm foundation for the assimilation of fully automatic computer-driven display subsystems when such systems become available in future display technology, and when computers and/or data transmission networks are available at the strategic command headquarters to support automatic displays.
