THE ANCHOR BUTTON: AN ATTACHMENT TECHNIC FOR BIOMEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION LEAD WIRES.

Abstract

The anchor button is a device to secure lead wires used for biomedical instrumentation. It is a solid plastic button, convex on one side and flat on the other. The flat side has a milled groove designed to receive the lead wires. A commercial sheet with adhesive on both sides is trimmed to form a disc which holds the lead wire in the groove of the button on one side and fastens the button assembly to the skin on the other side. It is simple, neat, and reliable method for eliminating loose wires when monitoring an individual under dynamic stress testing or operational flight conditions. (Author)
