THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE INTERACTION OF A SYSTEM OF TWO-MASS VISCOELASTIC DAMPERS WITH A VIBRATING STRUCTURE.

Abstract

The effect of dynamic dampers on the vibrations of a beam is studied. The model used is a beam under uniform harmonic loading with a large number of dynamic dampers attached along the length of the beam. The objectives of the analysis are to determine the optimum damper configuration and to assess the amount of damping which can be introduced. (Author)
