NEODYMIUM LASER GLASS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

Abstract

The investigation of the athermalization of laser glass has continued. The main areas of investigation were: (1) an independent method of measuring the thermal coefficient of refractive index, (2) determining regression coefficients for the stress-birefringence coefficient, and (3) the measurement of the stress-optical coefficient.
