APPARENTLY LOSSLESS TIME-VARYING NETWORKS.

Abstract

Time-varying multiport transformers with secondary ports terminated in passive time-invariant capacitors are shown to be not necessarily lossless. A theorem is proved giving necessary and sufficient conditions on the transformer turns-ratio for there to be finite energy excitations at the transformer primary producing arbitrary charges on the capacitors.
