BLOCK ORIENTED RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY.

Abstract

Efforts during the first quarter of the BORAM project are described. The project attempts to find an all-electronic substitute for electro-mechanical computer secondary memory devices such as discs, drums, tapes. The technique chosen for investigation is the multibit storage of information in a varying coercivity magnetic material which is accessed by a varying magnetic field scan. (Author)
