AN INVESTIGATION OF THE TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE- OXYGEN FLAME.
Abstract
An investigation of the C2F4-O2 diffusion and pre-mixed flames has been conducted. Emission spectra for the flame have been obtained, and band spectra of CF2 and possibly of CF have been identified. An upper limit to the electron concentration in the flame of up to 3 x 10 to the 8th power electrons/cc has been determined. Results of theoretical calculations of adiabatic flame temperature and composition are presented. Pre-mixed flame temperatures and stability limits were determined, and products of the pre-mixed and diffusion flames were investigated. (Author)
