APPLICATION OF SEMI-CONDUCTOR DEVICES TO HIGH POWER DUPLEXERS.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to design and develop a breadboard model of a high power solid state duplexer. Work was performed in the areas of multiple-section phase shifter, matching section, and back-up switch design. A twenty-diode phase shift mount was optimized to produce 2 1/2 + or - 1/2 degrees phase shift per diode and to be well matched in both bias states. The power handling capability was determined to be 2 Mw peak power. In addition, a diodeless matching section was closely matched in phase to the forward-biased diode phase shifter. The final section of the report covers test results on a two-stage receiver protector switch capable of operation to 10 kw peak power. (Author)
