RANGE DATA TERMINAL MODEL 2003-1A.

Abstract

The Range Data Terminal (RDT) is an integral part of HAPDAR, a multi-phase fixed array radar tracking system, located at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The RDT was designed and fabricated per the contractual requirements which specified a particular data processing equipment capable of accumulating, decoding, and generating certain data required by functional elements within the HAPDAR complex. The RDT is a solid-state, digital data system designed to process two discrete channels of data. One channel accepts binary target designation data from a Digital Data Communication Modem (Kineplex) and formats this data for transfer to a Naval Tactical Data Systems 1218 Computer. This data is then supplied to the computer at a 50 millisecond (20 pps) rate. (Author)
