Manual on the Laying and Clearing of Minefiels

Abstract

This book describes the designs and operating principles of antitank and antipersonnel mines of the Soviet Army and the armies of the capitalist states. The fundamentals of laying, reconnaissance and clearing of minefields, as well as recommendations for their recording and simulation, are also covered. Methods of organizing the training of personnel are described along with the safety rules that must be observed in laying and clearing mines. The book may be used as an aid by officers in all branches of the armed forces, by cadets in military schools, and by non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Soviet Army. The book will also be useful to reserve officer affiliated with engineer units.
