FLEXIBLE INTEGRATED SOLAR CELL ARRAY.

Abstract

The second quarter activity described in this report consists of component qualification tests on dendritic solar cells and solar cell-substrate composites, including successful thermal shock tests from plus 250 to minus 300 F; design of cell interconnections, which result in 0.020 inch spacing between solar cells in a series-parallel arrangement; cantilever beam deflection tests on sample deployment actuators, resulting in the design requirements for a purchase specification; and the completed design layout of the minimum typical array of 500 watts output.
