DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A GAS-PARTICULATE FILTER UNIT FOR THE MAIN BATTLE TANK

Abstract

A 400-cfm gas-particulate filter unit was designed and developed for the proposed main battle tank. Design and experimental data is completely detailed, including a design study report, feasibility study report, and a blast hazard test supplement. This report summarizes design concepts, preproduction model E49 filter unit design, performance and development test results, engineering services activity, and contract coordination throughout the program.
