STUDYING THE EFFECT OF CHANGE IN THICKNESS OF A RECTANGULAR PLATE IN PLAN INTO BASIC FREQUENCY OF LATERAL OSCILLATIONS.

Abstract

A qualitative analysis is performed of the effect of change in thickness on the basic frequency of bending oscillations of a plate rectangular in the plan. The most general case of change in thickness is considered, being a function of the mean planarity point of the plate. It is shown that the basic frequency of free oscillations of a plate of variable thickness may be found approximately as the basic frequency of the free oscillations of a plate of a definite constant thickness. This enables us to apply simulation methods for the study of the basic frequency of oscillations of a plate variable thickness. (Author)
