AN ANALYSIS OF KEY FACTORS IN THE COMPANY OFFICER PROGRAM AT THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD ACADEMY.

Abstract

The general concept of this paper was to examine the program through the medium of an attitude survey, to generate data revealing the beneficial and non-beneficial pressures to which it is subjected, its strengths and its weaknesses, and its importance in the overall Academy effort. Following this, it was the intent of the research to cite applicable management concepts, and because of the potential volatility of subjective opinions, to report a consensus of the respondents' views, and to provide added program definition through the construction of a functional guide for newly assigned administrators in the program.
