AUTOMATED SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DOCUMENTATION CRITERIA.

Abstract

The use of standard procedures in development and documentation of automated systems has become a necessity. Many activities in Government and industry are expending a large effort in manpower and costs in duplicating procedures and documentation that may have been prepared many times before. An effort has been made in this paper to describe an approach to a standardized system of development and record keeping that would preclude duplicating effort previously expended in the same area. The paper follows the development of an automated system from its inception to completion recommending methods for recording procedures used in automating a functional process. (Author)
