TURRET RING SEAL 7102893.
Abstract
Methods of securing the Turret Ring Seal 7012893 using advance prints B7360265 and B7360266 as a guide were investigated. It was concluded that: (1) installation of the 18.5 ft. Turret Ring Seal around the 22 ft. Turret of the M-47 Tank would probably subject the seal adjacent to the connection to high tension during and immediately after installation of the seal, (2) the connection made with two lift the dot fasteners provides sufficient security at the connection and simplicity in installation of the seal.
