DYNAMICAL AND STABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF A CLASS OF PERIODIC SYMMETRIC HORSESHOE SHAPED ORBITS IN THE JUPITER-SUN RESTRICTED THREE BODY PROBLEM,

Abstract

The horseshoe shaped orbit is used as a basis for a class of periodic orbits and this class is continued under a specified criterion. The stability of these periodic orbits is investigated. The existence of many periodic horseshoe shaped families is shown. (Author)
