OPTIMIZATION OF BASE LEVEL FILL RATES.

Abstract

This paper outlines a procedure for making use of the parts delay element in SAMSOM and the resultant aircraft NORS (Not Operationally Ready-Supply) as a means of establishing 'cost-effective' target fill rates in the Base Stockage Model. These target fill rates should optimize the balance of aircraft downtime against the cost of stock levels. (Author)
