STRUCTURAL TEMPERATURES AT SUPERSONIC FLIGHT FROM B-58A AND F-105D AIRCRAFT

Abstract

Supersonic flight data are presented from an instrumented B-58A and F-105D aircraft. These data comprise supersonic Mach number, altitude and recorded and predicted temperatures at various wing and fuselage stations. Data presentation is in the form of curves, plots and tables with pertinent descriptive information. These findings are presented to provide a basis for extending the state-of-the-art in structural design criteria for current and future flight vehicles.
