INVESTIGATION FOR 2000 F POWER WIRE.

Abstract

This report discusses various methods attempted to coat rhodium wire with flexible high temperature dielectric films. Thermal decomposition of tetraethyl orthosilicate, and electrostatic and radio frequency sputtering processes are still being investigated. Final evaluation of these techniques will be completed during the next quarter. Several types of bulk insulation have been evaluated, but additional testing is required. Terminal design and fabrication have been postponed until the final design of the wire system has been determined. (Author)
