Abstract
The symposium was organized under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and was devoted to papers on fundamental research in all branches of the field of macromolecular chemistry. Features of the conference of particular interest to the work of Chemistry, Physics and Metallurgy Department, Royal Aircraft Establishment, are briefly reviewed. (Author)
