PRELIMINARY FLIGHT TEST DATA. UH-2A WITH HORIZONTAL THRUST AUGMENTATION PROVIDED BY A YJ-85 TURBO-JET ENGINE.

Abstract

A summary is presented of results of flight testing conducted on the UH-2 helicopter, modified by the installation of a YJ85 turbo-jet engine for auxiliary propulsion, throughout the currently established level flight envelope to 140 knots. This testing was conducted in accordance with the Phase I requirements of the referenced contract and substantiates the safety of flight of the helicopter with the jet engine. (Author)
