STUDY OF EFFECT OF HIGH-INTENSITY PULSED NUCLEAR RADIATION ON ELECTRONIC PARTS AND MATERIALS (SCORRE).

Abstract

This report describes tests that will be performed to determine the properties of radiation-induced currents in various types of capacitors. The tests will be conducted at a linear accelerator from 13 to 17 December 1965. The report also describes tests on magnetic core memories that will be conducted at the linear accelerator during the same period. These tests are to be performed to confirm that changes in magnetic-core voltages during previous tests were not caused by irradiation. The voltage changes are believed to have been caused by the magnetic field of a vacuum pump. (Author)
