OPTICAL TRANSMITTER TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

The work described in this report was directed toward the design and development of a laser oscillator-amplifier operating at a wavelength between 0.3 and 5.0 microns for optical surveillance applications. The program consisted of an intensive study of chelate lasers and the phenomenon of sensitized fluorescence. It was concluded that more basic research is needed before these laser materials can be used in an application such as optical surveillance. (Author)
