METHODS OF DISTRIBUTING RADIO ALERT AND WARNING RECEIVERS

Abstract

This report analyzes feasible methods of distributing radio alert and warning receivers to the public; forecasts the number of receivers likely to be placed in operation under various distribution methods; and describes the conditions under which desired levels of distribution might be achieved. The potential levels of distribution considered range from 1% to over 90% under varying assumptions of advertising effort, international tension, receiver versatility, and receiver cost.
