INVESTIGATION OF LARGE SIGNAL MICROWAVE EFFECTS IN FERROELECTRIC MATERIALS.

Abstract

Results of tests performed at V-band, X-band and S-band on (Ba.6-Sr.4)TiO3, (Ba.5-SR.5)TiO3 and (Ba.5-SR.5 + .05Al2O3)TiO3 materials are reported. Measurement techniques and equipment are discussed using block diagrams and sketches. Theory for computing dielectric constants and loss tangents from measurements made on a microwave bridge is included. A refinement of this theory is included to show the advantage of using matching transformers with the test sample. Results of tests on an S-band passive power limiter which uses a ferroelectric element are included. The results of one conference are included. (Author)
