KU-BAND TRIODE AND CAVITY COMBINATION CW OSCILLATOR.

Abstract

A life test of one triode under gated conditions indicates an immediate life expectancy in the order of 70 hours; criticality of the circuit to changes in tube parameters during life is pronounced. Measurements of triode peak emission capabilities indicate that a peak emission minimum in the 10A/sq cm region must be reached in order to obtain the desired output power in the gated local oscillator mode. A total of 52 triodes were assembled and provided for Ku-band tests during this report period. (Author)
