BROADBAND HARMONIC GENERATORS.

Abstract

The design goals for a broadband, solid state, Ku band tripler and the general circuit requirements to obtain these goals are presented. Some of the problems encountered in pretuning the first basic tripler are discussed; and data on the individual circuit characteristics are described. Various design curves are included for waveguide filter design and a specific theoretical case of load conductance variation is investigated. The design criteria and process for a coaxial multipler structure incorporating interdigital filters and a shunt connected diode are discussed. The status of various phases of the program is recorded. (Author)
