MILLIMETER AND SUBMILLIMETER DEVICE RESEARCH.

Abstract

A description is given of several recordings of Ramsey patterns under varying conditions of the molecular beam parameters. Magnetic shielding of the resonance region has been improved and phase modulation of the excitation signal achieved. Preparations are now being made to close the control loop which will lock the crystal oscillator to the millimeter wave resonance. The possibility of operation at 369 gc is described and the application of multiple beam source at room temperature has been performed. Preliminary investigations of the electric resonance of lithium fluoride are treated. (Author)
