AN INTRODUCTION TO THE KRAICHNAN THEORY OF TURBULENCE.

Abstract

The nature of the assumptions used by R. H. Kraichnan in the formulation of his theory of turbulence is examined. A particular problem is treated as an example. Numerical solutions are obtained with a computer which are analogous to turbulent fluctuations. The correlation function and the regression function are determined experimentally. (Author)
