ORGANO-METALLIC AND ORGANO-METALLOIDAL HIGH-TEMPERATURE LUBRICANTS AND RELATED MATERIALS

Abstract

This report describes some entirely novel types of organosilicon compounds. They are primarily polyfunctional monomers. The functional groups may be alike or unlike, and the symmetry with some is unique in being of the highest possible order. These polyfunctional organosilicon monomers should provide avenues to the preparation of polymers with diverse and promising properties. Among the polyfunctional types are such highly reactive species as (HMe2Si)4Si and (HMe2Si)3SiLi.
