Historical Data and Lanchester's Theory of Combat. Part 2

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to test the validity of the conclusions reached in a previous work. Data on 83 historical battles are studied for information bearing on this problem. The information obtained from these battles is compared with those previously obtained, and the results of the comparison are carefully analyzed. With a few exceptions, the validity of the earlier findings is confirmed.
