RREAC, THE R.R.E. AUTOMATIC COMPUTER: ARITHMETIC CIRCUITS.

Abstract

A brief description of the general layout of the arithmetic section of RREAC is followed by a detailed discussion of the techniques employed to achieve the specified ADD time of approximately 1 microsec, particular emphasis being place upon methods of expediting 'carry' propagation. Simple logic circuits, for performing the functions DIFFER, EXTRACT and OR, and for converting a register into a binary counter, are also described. Full circuits of a register unit, addition logic stage and count logic are included. (Author)
