INVESTIGATION OF A 30,000 RPM TURBINE-DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP.

Abstract

A very successful series of pivoting-tip vane tests were conducted in which many operating situations were simulated. An experiment to evaluate the spring-loaded bridge was successfully completed. Analysis has shown that outward forces on the vanes will be required to cause the vanes to track on the straight portions of the present cam ring profile. Many systems to provide these forces have been investigated and additional work is underway. (Author)
