COMCARDIV 17 EXERCISE AND IPOSS EVALUATION, 29 NOVEMBER-9 DECEMBER 1963,

Abstract

This report contains an analysis of oceanographic data collected during an Interim Pacific Oceanographic Support System (IPOSS) and COMCARDIV 17 operations. The quality of the collected data was substandard, especially with respect to positioning. Of a total of 79 reports transmitted by flashing light, 38 contained errors. Of a total of 19 reports transmitted by radioteletype, 11 contained errors.
