THE DESIGN AND MEASUREMENT OF A MICROWAVE MODE TRANSDUCER

Abstract

A mode transducer to separate the TE10 and TE20 modes propagating in multimode waveguide and couple the power from each into single mode waveguides is described. The construction of an experimental model is shown and data on its performance given. The capabilities of this type of mode transducer are discussed and modifications to give improved performance are suggested.
