A DIGITAL COMPUTER SOLUTION OF THE FALKNER AND SKAN BOUNDARY LAYER EQUATION

Abstract

The Falkner and Skan boundary layer equation is presented and the properties of the solutions being sought are discussed. The problem is programmed for solution with a digital computer by two methods, namely, by the Milne Five-Point Method and the Runge-Kutta Method. Several solutions are listed and the two methods of solution are compared.
