HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPOSITES RESEARCH REPORTS.
Abstract
These papers are the initial technical reports in a broad research program on the physics, chemistry, fabrication, and performance characteristics of fiber-reinforced high performance composites. The structure of the research is that of a multidiscipline attack on certain basic problems for which answers are needed on both short and long term basis. At this stage, research results are applicable to polymer matrix-fiber reinforced composites whether the fibers are continuous or discontinuous. In research in progress and to be reported later, emphasis will be placed on the discontinuous fiber reinforced composites. (Author)
