MK 20 MOD 0 DELAY ACTUATOR EVALUATION OF A PPE SAMPLE FOR USE IN THE BOMB FUZE MK 257 MOD 0.

Abstract

The Mk 20 Mod 0 Delay Actuator was designed for use in the Bomb Fuze Mk 257 Mod 0. A sample of 373 actuators was subjected to rough handling and surveillance tests, sensitivity tests, and a factory-to-target sequential test. One specification output failure occurred in 253 trials, and two time delays in 373 trials were out of range. These failure rates are low enough to be acceptable.
