THE STUDY OF OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS AND TECHNIQUES IN WIND TUNNEL TESTING OF VTOL AND STOL VEHICLES.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this investigation is to develop an economical method of experimentally checking the effect of wind tunnel wall constraints on rotors, ducted fans, tilt props, and other methods of obtaining aircraft with V/STOL performance, by the use of inserts within a wind tunnel to simulate different size test sections.
