RESEARCH ON CHEMISTRY OF O3F2 AND O2F2.

Abstract

The reaction of SO2 with O2F2 enriched with O17 produced some very interesting results. It appears that this reaction proceeds via OOF and perhaps OF transfer. The complete mechanism of this complicated reaction path is being elucidated. The reaction of O3F2 with SO2 has shown that O3F2 is perhaps a better source of OOF than O2F2. Work on HNF2 complexes is nearly complete. The reactions of HNF2 with (CH3)3Al and (CH3)3Ga and the B2F4-CH3NF2 system are discussed. (Author)
