EQUATIONS OF MOTION OF MISSILE WITH SLOSHING,

Abstract

The purpose is to derive the equations of motion, in two dimensions, of a rigid body missile with fluid sloshing, using the spring-mass analogy. These equations are arranged in a fashion most suitable for instrumentation in an analog computer simulation. Also of concern was the derivation of a transfer function relating missile attitude angle to motor deflection angle. From the resulting pole-zero configuration the closed loop system stability may then be determined. The coefficients of the transfer function are left in their most general form in terms of system parameters.
