CONSTANT OBLIQUE FIELD ELECTROSTATIC GENERATOR.
Abstract
The objective of the investigation under this contract is to prove the feasibility of a vacuum insulated, brushless constant oblique field generator. A model is to be fabricated which will have a normalized power of 700 Newtons/m squared as its design goal. The second quarter's work consisted of further development of the theory of electrostatic machines, the testing of a number of charge carrier and rectifier combinations and, finally, the design and fabrication of a preliminary model to be tested during the coming quarter.
